LAKE GOGEBIC FIREFLIES HOST ANNUAL LAKE WIDE RUMMAGE SALE
The Lake Gogebic Fireflies will once again host their much-anticipated ALL LAKE GARAGE SALE in June! Bigger and better in 2021, the Lake Gogebic and Bergland community-wide sale will take place over two days--Saturday June 12th and Sunday June 13th . With CoVid-19 restrictions last year, people had time to clean house, many finding a stockpile of too many treasures.
Restaurants around the lake such as Antonios, The Root Cellar, The Gogebic Lodge, Hoop and Holler, and others will be offering specials on the days of the sale. As a gesture of support, a portion of these weekend specials are donated back to aid the local fire departments. The Lake Gogebic Fireflies are volunteers for the Lake Gogebic Fire Departments, and annually sponsor the event. To find all those wonderful sales, the Fireflies create a map for the public which lists locations and highlights some of the items for sale. Saturday only sales will be designated by an asterisk (*) on their map location. To have your sale listed on the map, a $15 fee is asked which goes to support the Fireflies and the local Fire Departments. Contact Joanie Hissom at 906-842-3311 or Donna Blasius at 906-575-3406 for more information or to get a rummage sale participation application. The sale hours will be from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Central time both Saturday and Sunday.
In conjunction with Michigan’s Free Fishing Weekend, come and join the Rummage Sale fun at Lake Gogebic on June 12th and 13th! You can also find more information on the Lake Gogebic Fire Department or Lake Gogebic Fireflies Facebook pages, along with a visit to the Chamber website at www.lakegogebicarea.com .
